Breadsticks

Bread...such a scary word if its not store bought right....wrong
if you never make bread or have a hard time I doubt you could screw these breadsticks up.  I admit they aren't beautifully shapped, but they are so yummy and I totally skip rolling them out on the countertop!
My sister in law Bobbi gave me this recipe a couple years ago, I totally skip rolling them out into sticks.  Instead I melt 1/2 stick of butter in 2 9x13 pans.  Pull out and divide the dough in half and press into pans.  Take your pizza cutter to cut your desired width.  After they back follow the marks you made before.

Breadsticks
2 C. Warm Water                                                                                  2 Tbsp. Dry Yeast
½ C. Sugar                                                                                            ¼ C. Oil
1 Egg                                                                                                     2 tsp. Salt
6 ½ C. Flour                                                                                          2 Sq. Butter

Combine water, yeast, sugar, oil, egg, salt and 2 C. Flour, mix.  Add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each. Cover; let raise until double (1 hour). Divide into 4 parts- pinch each part into 10 pieces; roll into sticks.  In each of the 2 9x13 pans, melt 1 sq butter. Place rolls into pans.  Sprinkle with garlic salt, Kosher salt, or Parmesean Cheese.  Let rise 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 400 deg. For 18-20 min.
They are so Yummy!
